World of Battles: Morningstar may not have the most inspiring name, and its website seems designed to keep you from figuring out what it actually is, but it looks pretty alright to me. A free-to-play Total War kind of MMORTS with a fantasy twist that almost looks reminiscent of the old Myth games? That sounds like it’s worth a look for the strategy enthusiast at least.
The game has gone open beta today, and shouldn’t be confused with regular plain old World of Battles which went open beta about 2 years ago. Or should it? Regardless, the beta registration can be found here if you want to give it a go.
