Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition returns at GameStop with higher price tag

Includes Season Pass and strategy guide

We’re not sure if we should be excited or face palming, but GameStop now has Fallout 4‘s Pip-Boy Edition back in stock. Earlier today the gaming retailer slotted the Xbox One, PS4, and PC Pip-Boy Edition back up for sale, but instead of the original $119.99 price tag, it’s now $189.99! Yay!

Update: Looks like its all sold out! Check here for our round-up of Fallout 4 pre-order deals.

Before you break out the pitchforks, the price increase is justified as the “Complete Bundle” and includes the Fallout 4 Season Pass and strategy guide (collector’s edition!). In theory, here’s the price breakdown:

  • $119.99 Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition
  • $29.99 Fallout 4 Season Pass
  • $39.99 Fallout 4 Vault Dweller’s Survival Guide Collector’s Ed. Official Strategy Guide

That does all add up to $190, but you need to keep in mind that the strategy guide is not exactly worth $40. Amazon now sells the hardcover version for $23.73, and that price has been around since the summer. The Pip-Boy Edition looks sweet, but that strategy guide pricing is questionable at best.

Conversely, the Season Pass is going for $24 at GMG for the PC Steam copy (we’ll note again that content in the Season Pass has NOT been revealed yet).

But if you think GameStop’s bundle is a rip-off, you should know that the Pip-Boy Editions are being listed between $240 to $1,500 on eBay. We’d imagine those ridiculous prices will soon go down closer to the regular street price, given the new development over at GameStop.
