Now we can finally shoot some goddamn guns
Alternate endings are a fascinating way to put a non-canonical spin on the tales that we know and love. Sometimes it’s a silly and light-hearted Pentagon piefight. Others are grim, like Dante taking a bullet to the chest on a day when he wasn’t even supposed to be there.
Typically, alternate endings are synchronous with the main narrative’s finale, but that’s not the case with Far Cry 4. The adventure in Kyrat can be told in approximately 30 minutes’ time, and there’s not a whole lot of adventure to be had.
I won’t spoil it here, but the time-lapsed video walks through the entirety of it. As The Clash kick open the door to the credits, Far Cry 4 and Pagan Min seemingly mock you for your choice of staying when you should have gone.
