FFXIV Daivadipa Special Fate boss: How to earn and exchange Daivadipa Beads

Dive deep, then Daivadipa

Daivadipa FATE boss hangs out in the FFXIV Endwalker zone, Thavnair. Like the other Final Fantasy XIV, Special Fates, tackle Daivadipa with a large group — the colorful giant won’t fall to a one-on-one. Here’s everything you need to know to get Daivadipa’s Beads and reap the rewards.

How to Spawn Daivadipa

The Daivadipa Special FATE is “Devout Pilgrims vs. Daivadipa,” and it is the last in a chain of three FATEs that spawn in the area. For a chance at spawning Daivadipa, you must complete two other FATEs first.

FATE nameLevelLocationType
Devout Pilgrims vs. the Apalala85Thavnair (X23.0, Y23.3)Slay Enemies
Devout Pilgrims vs. the Jungle Lizards85Thavnair (X34.3, Y27.5)Defense

Devout Pilgrims vs. Daivadipa can only spawn once on a World Server in a 48-hour window – although you can travel between Worlds to complete the FATE as many times as you like. Because of the limited spawn rate, there is no guarantee that completing the two previous FATEs will spawn Daivadipa, but look at the bright side — it’s a handy way to grind Endwalker Bicolor Gemstones.

A good community-made resource for tracking boss FATEs is Faloop! — once there, select your Data Centre and World Server, and you’ll see which FATEs are “open.” These FATEs can potentially spawn by completing the chain, while “closed” FATEs cannot.

After completing the previous two FATEs, fly to the southwest of the Thavnair and find the platform that is just off the coast. It’s called Jnanamandapa, and this is where Daivadipa spawns. It’s worth noting the FATE will not show up on the map until getting close, so check in after completing the previous two FATEs.

When flying into a successful spawn, avoid flying too close to Daivadipa itself, as this will prematurely trigger the FATE to begin and could cause others to lose out on rewards for completion.

Notable Daivadipa FATE mechanics

Infernal Damage

A raid-wide attack that drains players of 40-50% of their health. This attack is unavoidable and should be considered a healer check.

Loyal Flame

Daivadipa will glow either red or blue. If the glow is blue, blue flames will ignite first, immediately followed by red flames. If the glow is red, the red flames will ignite first, immediately followed by the blue flames. Loyal Flame effects the following two mechanics:

  • Lamplight – Red and blue flames appear at the Southern edge of the arena. When activated by Loyal Flame, they shoot linear AOEs towards the north.
  • Igniting Lights – Red and blue flames will appear in a chequered pattern across the arena. When activated by Loyal Flame, they will explode in circular AOEs.

Getting and spending Daivadipa’s Beads

When arriving ahead of the battle, use Party Finder or Shout chat to try and find or form a full party, as this helps maximise your contribution to the FATE. The higher your contribution, the more Daivadipa’s Beads you’ll earn.

The maximum number of Daivadipa’s Beads you can receive is six per successful Gold-rated completion and you’ll need to complete Devout Pilgrims vs. Daivadipa a minimum of three times in order to collect enough Beads to get all of the possible rewards.

Here’s the full list of rewards, along with how many Daivadipa’s Beads needed for each:

RewardCost
Gaja Head4 Daivadipa’s Beads
Gaja Suit6 Daivadipa’s Beads

To exchange your Beads for rewards, head to Radz-at-Han and talk to Nesvaaz (X10.6 Y10.0), selecting “Out-of-this-world Oddities.” Nesvaaz also holds the rewards for the boss FATE in Ultima Thule, Omicron Recall: Killing Order. The Omicron is worth your time for more Bicolor Gemstones and Level Checker mount.
