One of the big appeals of Final Fantasy XIV, aside from the thrills and adrenaline of fighting Eikons and saving the universe, is player housing. Whether you’ve got an entire estate or an apartment, you can decorate your own safe sanctuary to your tastes and put your stamp on a small corner of Eorzea.
There are five different residential districts within FFXIV, each themed around its corresponding city-state, and the only major difference between zones is aesthetic. However, you can’t just visit without questing. So, before referring to our full FFXIV housing lottery guide for an in-depth look at the estate-buying process, make sure you’ve got all of the housing wards unlocked through their corresponding sidequest.
