If you want to take part in Breaking Brick Mountains, head to Ul’dah and talk to Havak Alvak on the Steps of Nald (X:12.1, Y:8.2) directly opposite the Adventurer’s Guild. After some discussion, you’ll find that you need to take part in a couple of FATEs:

  • Brick by Stone Brick
  • Brick by Gold Brick

These FATEs spawn directly after one another in the same location, and there are five different locations where they can possibly spawn:

  • Sil’dih Excavation Site, Central Thanalan (X:18.0, Y:23.5)
  • Blind Iron Mines, Lower La Noscea (X:27.0, Y:17.3)
  • Camp Bronze Lake, Upper La Noscea (X:34.1, Y:24.1)
  • Bentbranch Meadows, Central Shroud (X:23.6, Y:23.9)
  • Finders’ Bluff, North Shroud (X:15.8, Y:31.0)

Once you’ve completed these two FATEs, head back to Ul’dah – Steps of Nald and talk to the Burly Businessman (X:8.2, Y:12.4). This will complete the event quest and reward you with the following items:

  • Thug’s Mug
  • Wind-up Brickman
