You have to love Bethesda Softworks — since releasing Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PC and Xbox 360, they’ve done a great job in supporting the game with downloadable content, and much needed updates. Sure, there was a slight issue in the beginning involving some horse armor, but we’ll let that slide (or at least I will, since I wasn’t silly enough to buy it).
Well, it’s soon coming to an end, as they have announced that next Monday, October 15, will mark the release of the game’s last downloadable content. Entitled “Fighter’s Stronghold,” the add-on will give you a fully detailed castle to explore, a secret treasure vault, the ability to hire a vinter and a taxidermist, and more. You can head over to the official Elder Scrolls Web site for the full details and related story information.
But here’s the best part — for one week, this content will be free via elderscrolls.com (PC) and Xbox Live. Who is going to argue with free, right?
