Treyarch has a lot to prove this fall with Call of Duty: Black Ops, a game which Activision says will be one of its biggest and best titles in the series yet. From everything I’ve seen so, it’s so far, so good — the additional development time given to the studio looks like it’s being put to good use.
Now, we have our first look at the game’s multiplayer in action, and it’s looking damn good. This trailer shows off straight up action — none of that fancy fast-paced editing to take away from the gameplay — with footage pulled directly from the game. Of note, is a remote control RC car bomb, and what appears to be replay saves and advanced editing and sharing options, a la Bungie’s Halo 3.
Black Ops is out on November 9; we’ll have a full look at the game’s multiplayer modes and features on September 1.
