It may be a weird coincidence, but Piranha Games has revealed a new map for MechWarrior Online that, you guessed it, is themed around the idea of the planet being hotter than the Devil’s gooch. How topical.
With this being a simulator, the unbearable heat will have numerous effects on your mech. If you’re rolling around in a giant, bulky mech, you’re going to run into quite a bit of overheating along the way. You’ll need to account for this, as well as the weapons you’ll take with you. Using weapons with low heat profiles will go a long way, for example. The video above that introduces the map has a lot more tips like these, so be sure to watch that.
