A big year for Soulslike games
Kepler Interactive announced Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn back in early 2022. From the creators of the popular Soulslike Ashen, Flintlock advertises that Gods and guns will collide in this open-world adventure. While Ashen featured a simpler art style, Flintlock is taking a more fantastical approach.
Following the Souls formula, the action RPG will allow players to challenge the Gods with axes, guns, and magic. AA4 Games has promised a combat system that rewards creativity with the ability to unleash powerful combos.
Even though delays are always a bummer, it’s certainly understandable when developers want to get it right. With this genre being incredibly active between upcoming titles like Lies of P and Remnant 2, polish is more important than ever.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn now aims for a 2024 release on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
