Everything you need to finish Week 1
After getting started with a brief Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 “Week 0” period, we’re officially in Week 1 territory. So far, things are going a lot more swimmingly than the start of Chapter 4 Season 1. Here are all of the Week 1 challenges/quests and how to complete them.
Visit Breakwater Bay, Anvil Square, and Shattered Slabs
As a way of getting you acquainted with the northwestern portion of the Chapter 4 Season 2 map, Epic Games is asking you to head to three named locations. You can find them all in the map above.
We recommend starting out at Breakwater Bay, then heading to Shattered Slabs, and then Anvil Square. That way you can get all three of them done before the circle starts to shrink, and make your way to Anvil Square (which is located inland) last.
Destroy objects while drifting or boosting in a Nitro Drifter
The Nitro Drifter is a type of vehicle introduced in Chapter 4 Season 2, and is the key to this challenge.
Find one, and drift (slide) while driving over fences to quickly finish this out (though any object will do). All you need to do is hit 25 objects (again, fences and benches are perfect) and you’ll finish out the challenge. You could even use this Nitro Drifter to find a Rogue Bike and swap them to finish two challenges in rapid succession (see below).
Land at MEGA City and then reach top 25 players
This one is very simple, and I’ll dole out the same advice I always give for these types of challenges: drop into Mega City at the start of every match. You don’t want the game where you reach a top spot to be on a match where you didn’t drop in; and thus don’t get the credit.
If you’re confident in your ability to rise to the top 25 with regularity, feel free to drop in whenever you want to finish this challenge.
Damage opponents with 3 different weapon types in a single match
There are ample weapon types to complete this challenge throughout the new map. All you need to do is damage an opponent with each weapon to get credit, so firing a shotgun at a long range and having only part of the spread hit will count.
Many people will likely finish this challenge with a shotgun, rifle, and SMG combo (especially given how plentiful those three types are on the island).
Get air time on a Rogue bike
All you need to do is jump on the new motorcycle type and start flying off hills. Remember you can boost to make this process even faster. After hitting 15 seconds of air time, you’ll pop the challenge.
If you’re searching for a bike, they look like the image directly above, and are mostly strewn about points of interest/named locations. Mega City also has several Rogue bikes accessible outside of the entrances to the city.
