Upon first hearing about Day 1 Studios’ third-person shooter Fracture, I thought the “terrain deformation” mechanic was entirely too gimmicky.
The videogame market has become so saturated with shooters that it was only natural for me to initially assume the worst.
But, as Dyson pointed out in his hands-on report of Fracture‘s multiplayer, the game (or at least that portion of the game) is “riddled with depth.” Could this game be worth watching after all? You’ll have the chance to find out for yourself next week.
LucasArts has sent over the good news that a demo for Fracture will be out on September 18 for both Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network. Huzzah!
