The Game Developers Conference is a tremendous resource for creators. I wish I could attend every year, and not just as an excuse to hang out with Steven. GDC is insightful, energizing and, this is key, not physically and mentally stressful like E3 or gamescom or even current-day PAX.
There’s a rather substantial fee to read/watch/listen to GDC talks online, but the conference organizers tend to let some of them loose eventually. A big batch of presentations became free yesterday. Now all I need is time with which to watch them. And to figure out where to even start.
