Same day as Japan
Bandai Namco has announced that Full Metal Panic! Fight! Who Dares Wins will release on May 31 in Southeast Asia. This means that it will share the same release date as the Japanese version of the game. The company has released a trailer as well, further detailing what kind of gameplay and plot elements players can expect.
You can find the trailer below. For those waiting for the upcoming anime, be warned there are spoilers for it within.
Given the long period of silence and lack of details, the trailer is very informative of what to expect in terms of gameplay. However, the trailer does confirm that old seasons and characters will be present, so the game’s length will not be a problem. The only missing piece of the puzzle is if the legendary Bonta-kun will be included.
There is also one more item to note. In addition to a limited edition, Japan has had early purchase bonuses confirmed. These bonuses are limited to three custom weapons for units to equip. It’s unknown if the Asia version will have them at this time, and if they’ll be obtainable by playing the game normally.
It’s nice to see the game getting a same-day release as Japan. If I had to guess, this was likely already being translated when Super Robot Wars X entered development, hence why that game is coming out a month after its Japanese release date. Still, better to wait and see what the end result is, as the companies translation history for the region is a little rocky.
