We heard you like Nintendo handhelds
Two new Nintendo platforms are coming to the Nintendo Switch Online service. Both Game Boy and Game Boy Advance are coming to Nintendo Switch Online, with the former available for all subscribers and GBA specifically on the Expansion Pass.
As shown in today’s Nintendo Direct, both platforms are launching today with a library of classics from both. Each platform will have online multiplayer with friends as well; Game Boy will feature two-player, while GBA will have four-player options.
The Game Boy will offer a range of different color options, to imitate the various filters and screens of the handheld. Here’s the launch line-up:

- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX
- Gargoyle’s Quest
- Game & Watch Gallery 3
- Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare

- Wario Land 3
- Kirby’s Dream Land
More games are on the way too, including the Oracle of Ages and Seasons games, the Pokemon Trading Card Game, and Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble.
The Game Boy Advance is also coming, but only for those who have the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass, Nintendo’s added subscription upgrade. Here’s the lineup of GBA games headed to the service:

Additionally, more GBA games are teased to be headed to the service. Nintendo showed off Metroid Fusion, Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem, F-Zero: Max Velocity, and Golden Sun.
