Back before Zune’s launch, GameStop was pretty gung-ho about supporting Microsoft’s digital media device. While I’d be remiss to call GameStop’s decision to carry the Zune a failure, the anecdotal evidence of every GameStop/EB in my area still having some first shipment Zune players paints an ugly picture.
But nothing can stop the power of the Halo brand, apparently, as the Halo 3 Zune will be hitting GameStop/EB stores exclusively, starting on June 15. The player (which retails for $249.99, like the traditional Zune SKU) not only sports the Halo 3 branding, but also comes pre-loaded with a truckload of Halo goodies, including soundtracks, videos, and more (no Cortana nudie pictures, though).
