Next year, The Sims Studio is back with an all-new Sims title called The Sims Medieval. It’s what you’d expect — you’ll be able to create a hero, go on quests, build a kingdom, and more — all in a Middle-Age setting.
Best of all, today at Electronic Arts’ gamescom press conference, it was confirmed that The Sims Medieval will feature leeches. Yes, the little blood-sucking creatures will make an appearance in the game, which will let in-game Sims physicians relieve sick Sims of their blood. To heal them. Because that was a thing.
“Drain some of her blood out, that will make her feel better,” said Rachel Bernstein, senior producer on the title, during a live demonstration. Right.
The Sims Medieval and its leeches (a key feature, if you’re going by this story) will hit shelves for PC in spring of 2011.
