We’re having a hard time following this because the primary source material inexplicably disappeared, but apparently Insomniac gave GameSpot the lowdown on some hot downloadable content for Resistance 2 recently at GDC. According to Joystiq, the content, coming March 26, will take the form of a patch and a purchasable map pack and character skins.
The patch, version 1.50 if you’re counting, will add a new, harder cooperative difficulty and the multiplayer mode ‘Meltdown.’ It will also add the ability for a second player to use their PSN ID and partake in R2’s online multiplayer.
The patch details are juicy, but I really wish I could watch GameSpot’s coverage to hammer out the details on the extra skins. The only reason I dropped the game is because I thought my character looked like a retard.
