The Rolling Crossfire event is here for a limited time, bringing a new slime-shooting minigame to Genshin Impact. It’s very different from how Genshin usually plays, so here are some tips for how to beat this minigame and claim all Primogem rewards!
How to beat Rolling Crossfire
Move your character from left to right to aim the cannon. It can feel like your controls are inverted — moving your character left will shift your aim to the right, and vice versa.
Left click to shoot your cannon. Your projectile will travel in a straight line and burst when it hits a slime or obstacle.
Your projectiles will be infused with Pyro (orange), Electro (purple), or Cryo (light blue). Hit slimes with a projectile of a different element to trigger a reaction and deal damage. Hitting a slime with the same element will do nothing, since slimes are immune to their own element. The reactions you can trigger are:
Operation Overload | Pyro + Electro | Causes a large explosion that knocks enemies away. Can knock slimes off the arena altogether. |
Aggressive Ablation | Pyro + Cryo | Deals AoE damage. |
Frigid Frost | Electro + Cryo | Deals AoE damage and reduces enemies’ elemental RES. |
At intervals, colorful mechanical power-ups will appear on the field. Shoot them to trigger various effects like clearing all slimes of a certain element or creating a vortex that pulls slimes in. The power-ups and their effects are:
White | Rapid-fire Physical projectiles for a few seconds. Physical projectiles don’t trigger reactions but can damage all slimes. |
Brown | Creates a small vortex that pulls slimes toward its center. Slimes caught in the vortex take Physical damage over time. |
Orange Purple Blue | Instantly clears all slimes of the corresponding element. |
The Piercing Shell meter on either side of the cannon fills over time. When it’s full, fire a Piercing Shell by moving your character up to be closer to the cannon. Left click to shoot a projectile that has a wider path. Piercing Shells pierce through enemies and obstacles alike.
