Genshin Impact teases Fontaine and Sumeru additions Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos for Patch 4.7

Two gun-wielders and an archer?

Clorinde from Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact Version 4.7 is on the way, and HoYoverse is taking its usual route to the path there with a drip feed of new information on banner characters. This time, we’ve got insight on three new additions to the roster. Let’s take a look at all of the new info released for Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos.

Clorinde

We’ve met Clorinde already during the Fontaine Archon Quests and certain Story Quests. She’s a Champion Duelist who participates in Fontaine’s justice system by allowing defendants to fight for their honor. However, with Clorinde as their opponent, no one has managed to succeed.

Clorinde is an Electro Sword user with the Constellation Rapperia, meaning “rapier.” She appears to wield some kind of new rapier in one hand, as well as a pistol in the other. Assuming the Sword is her dedicated signature weapon, I think it’s a reasonable guess that Clorinde will be a 5-star character. We don’t know how Clorinde’s pistol will factor into her kit, but I hope it gives her a ranged attack option of some sort.

Sigewinne

Sigewinne is a Melusine and head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide. She cares for the health of Fortress inmates, regardless of their past or criminal status. As the first playable Melusine in Genshin Impact, she has two fleshy horns that look a bit like bunny ears. She definitely looks more human than other Melusines we’ve met, though.

Sigewinne is a Hydro character with the Constellation Nereides, referring to the friendly sea nymphs of Greek mythology. We don’t know Sigewinne’s weapon or rarity, but given her title of head nurse, it’s very likely that she’s a healer. She may even have something to do with the Bond of Life mechanic, given the new Bond of Life artifact set from Version 4.6.

I’m also intrigued by the odd device she’s holding in her right hand. It looks like something between a syringe and a gun? She also has an intricate heart-shaped device at her hip.

Sethos

Sethos is the only character of the bunch who is not from Fontaine. He’s affiliated with the deserts of Sumeru, using his expert knowledge to guide travelers through the perilous sands.

As an Electro Bow wielder, Sethos is only the third male Electro character in Genshin Impact. He is shown holding the Scion of the Blazing Sun, a 4-star Battle Pass weapon. Since his drip marketing art lacks a signature weapon, Sethos himself will probably be a 4-star character. I’m just wondering why Sethos decided to bring a bow to a gun fight.

His Constellation is Basileos Delta, which isn’t as easy to translate as the other Constellations. It looks like Basileus is a term for “king” or “emperor.” Delta could be a reference to a river delta, the number four, or the concept of change.

When are Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos coming to Genshin Impact?

Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos should arrive in Version 4.7 of Genshin Impact. Given Genshin Impact’s current release schedule, we can expect Version 4.7 to drop on June 5, 2024.

In the meantime, Version 4.6 of Genshin Impact is coming very soon. We can’t forget about Arlecchino just because we’ve seen the shiny new characters on the horizon!
