At first glance, I figured that God of Blades (on sale now for $.99 on iOS) was another game that plays it safe. It’s got expensive-looking graphics, a fantasy setting, and a focus on swordplay. Boy was I wrong. God of Blades rewards you with all new in-game weapons if you bring your iDevice to real-life libraries. That’s just scratching the surface of the ways the game walks its own path.

If you’d like to get to know the upstart scamps that co-created this strange but easily digestable action title, their full episode of Sup, Holmes? is available now on YouTube and iTunes. Thanks again to Jo Lammert and George Royer for hanging out. This Sunday we have James Kochalka, comics legend and artist on the upcoming Glokbot’s Mini Adventure
