It’s been far too long since we have talked about Good Old Games, but that has more to do with me being unfamiliar with many of the DRM-free service’s recent additions than anything else. My experience with many of these games is sadly lacking, but not today.
GOG.com brings us word that Rebellion is now part of the team, which means Evil Genius ($9.99) and Ground Control ($5.99) are now downloadable, with Lords of Magic: Special Edition, Empire Earth: Gold Edition, and more in the pipeline. Could we see Aliens Vs. Predator down the road? I really hope so.
My memory is a little bit hazy, but I distinctly remember loving the idea behind Evil Genius, but not the execution so much. I get the feeling I probably didn’t take the necessary time to learn how to play correctly, and in turn my opinion is misinformed. Perhaps I should go back and give the game another chance?
It’s also worth noting that a 20% off TopWare promotion is happening on the digital distribution service, which means plenty of cheap games to be funded by the spare change in your couch.
