Good Old Games outs Good Old Gift to Botanicula customers

These days, you pre-order or pre-pay at your own risk. With instantaneous Amazon price drops, “pay what you want bundles”, and tons of other sales, odds are you can save money in pretty much every facet of gaming — especially on the PC.

This principle applies in spades for Botanicula fans who pre-ordered the game for $8.99 on Good Old Games, only to find that you could essentially buy the game for as little as under a dollar during the recent Humble Indie Bundle event. As a result, Good Old Games (who isn’t truly obligated to do anything) has given customers who pre-ordered the title before April 20th a free copy of Machinarium, The Witcher 1, a free OST and an artbook.

While many PC gamers are most likely going to take the “fool me twice” approach when it comes to pre-ordering indie digital games, it’s nice to know that online retailers are at least making an effort to enhance customer satisfaction.
