It’s random, but this should give you an idea
Owning every amiibo has its perks. Mainly, when it comes time to cover anything toy related in a Nintendo game, I’m there.
To make good on this madness, here’s a rundown of what happens when you scan every Link amiibo released to date into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Switch.
First, a quick overview of how it works.
In Skyrim Switch, the amiibo power is a spell — you get it as soon as you have control of your character no matter what race or loadout you pick. To use an amiibo simply select the spell, press R (R1 for most controllers), and cast it on the ground — a treasure chest will appear when you scan the figure to the NFC touchpoint. In other words, it’s very similar to Breath of the Wild‘s functionality. Each figure can be scanned once per 24 real life hours.
There’s a 20% chance you’ll unlock a special “Zelda” themed item like the Champion’s Tunic or the Master Sword each time you scan a Link amiibo. Read: all the below items are not specific to any figure, they are random. For all other figures, random items can appear (special/unique items are italicized). For those of you who don’t have amiibo you can still get a chest in-game with the Zelda items at the Throat of the World.
