Today is the 20th anniversary of my favorite ever hedgehog that is blue and runs fast and is in videogames and is called Sonic. I decided to celebrate this beautiful event by debuting my first ever stop-motion film, Snonic The Snedgehog. It is inspired by Sonic and it makes me cry.
In all seriousness, as much crap as I’ve given Sonic games, I genuinely love that little blue fella. Sonic 2 was the first game I ever got the first console that was properly mine (and my brother’s), the Sega Genesis — or Mega Drive, as it is known in the UK where I used to live.
I still play Sonic the Hedgehog 2, to this day, and I will play it again today in celebration. SEGA and I are known to butt heads, but I earnestly want to thank the wankers for giving us twenty years of games that have ranged from utterly terrific to at least memorably bad.
