A taste of the hell to come
Diablo 4 is wrapping up its open beta weekend, winding down the time players have had in Act 1 of the upcoming Blizzard release. As time runs out on the beta, some are hoping that the beta might be extended or if there will be another chance to explore Sanctuary before its full release.
Has the Diablo 4 beta been extended?
Your time is running out. The #DiabloIV Open Beta ends tomorrow at 12PM PDT.
Fear not. 6.6.23 will be here soon enough.

At the time of writing, the Diablo 4 beta has not been extended. The beta will end at its previously revealed time of 12 p.m. PT (3 p.m. ET) on Monday, March 27. There is no hint so far from Blizzard Entertainment regarding a possible extension of the beta weekend.
Some players are still playing the beta, but this isn’t due to a glitch or anything like that. It is simply due to the beta not being over yet. Blizzard was gracious enough to keep the beta around until the afternoon for North American players and even into the evening on Monday for players in Europe.
If you wish to get your hands on the game for a little bit longer, be sure to do that before the servers go down and you can’t access the beta client any longer.
When is the next Diablo 4 beta?
Unfortunately, it looks like this is the one and only open beta weekend for Diablo 4. Blizzard has not announced another beta test for the upcoming game ahead of its launch. If you missed out on the two beta weekends in March, you’ll likely have to wait until the game’s release in June to explore Sanctuary and everything it has to offer.
The only positive about this unfortunate situation is there’s a way to play Diablo 4 a tad bit early. If you pre-order the Diablo 4 Digital Deluxe Edition or Ultimate version, you’ll get early access to the entire experience before launch. Players will have the opportunity to play the whole game from start to finish four days early.
For everyone else who doesn’t pre-order or buys the standard version, the Diablo 4 release date is June 6, 2023. That’s just over two months after the conclusion of the open beta. However, if you pre-order either of those special versions of the game on any platform, you’ll get to play on June 2, 2023.
This staggered Diablo 4 launch could even help alleviate some of the server stress on the full release day. Since it is only online, this split might reduce some of the performance issues and long queues from the beta.
