Ground into dust
Humorous enemy destructoid is a core tenet of The Legend of Zelda series. We’ve looked at a billion and one ways to take down Guardians in Breath of the Wild, and now the community is refocusing its efforts on Talus enemies.
Although we have a comprehensive guide on how to take down the towering foes, Reddit user tsuntoast gave us a heads-up on another method (if the weak point is on the enemy’s back): you just…whack it. It’s so simple! In the below video, the player struggles a bit with the Talus, before happening upon its back and simply hitting its weak point directly. The reason this method is gaining popularity is because so many folks use arrows first, then hit the Talus’ weak point.
If you just go for the throat, it goes down in seconds flat. Watch and give it a try yourself!
100 hours in and I just realized I can hit the Talus’ weak spot directly.

I generally just run past Stone Talus fights
Look, there’s a lot of stuff to do in Tears of the Kingdom. Unless a Talus fight is required for whatever reason, I’m likely just going to float, run, or gallop right past it. There are a ton of ways to take them out, ranging from bow and arrow shots to lightning, and more: but I just can’t be bothered!
