I greet this story with some skepticism, because it comes from Britain’s most popular tabloid dishrag The Sun (which I won’t be linking to), and if you follow UK “journalism” at all, you’ll know that the British tabloids absolutely hate Heather Mills with a passion and will do anything to disrepute the woman they affectionately call “Lady Mucca.”

According to The Sun, Heather Mills has recently been dropped from working with Capcom’s Bionic Commando after demanding a six-figure compensation for her work and also declaring that she should be the star of the game. A “source” told The Sun that Mills was approached due to her having a prosthetic limb, which gives her some vague connection to Bionic Commando‘s main character and his own fake arm.

“She was insistent she wouldn’t do it for a smaller fee and said the producers should make her the star,” confirms The Sun’s (possibly invented) source. “The request was way, way over budget and they certainly weren’t keen on basing the game on her.”

Naturally, The Sun is celebrating the fact that Mills was dropped from the game, because she is apparently such a whore. To be honest though, this sounds like either completely invented horsesh*t or a grossly embellished overstatement, either of which is standard tabloid practice. We’ve approached Capcom for a comment, so hopefully we can do what The Sun doesn’t want to do and get to the bottom of this nonsense.

[Update: When reached for comment, Capcom said it “could not comment on this story.”]
