Helldivers 2: How to farm Super Credits

Helldivers 2 How to farm Super Credits

Tracking down Points of Interest on maps in Helldivers 2 could lead to riches such as a hoard of Requisition Slips. But did you know you can also find Super Credits, the currency used for premium content? It’s true, and there’s a way to farm Super Credits in Helldivers 2.

The best method to farm Super Credits in Helldivers 2 is to run small maps and explore every Point of Interest (PoI) for items before ending the mission. Of course, that’s just the overall goal; there is a lot more to the strategy. There are likely several ways to pad your pockets with that sweet currency, but I’ll go over my favorite method. In a best-case scenario, you can walk away with up to 20 Super Credits a run.

As mentioned, turning down the difficulty is only the first step. Farming Super Credits hinges on speed, and Trivial difficulty missions are the fastest to finish. They usually only give you one Primary Objective, and the maps are fairly small. You will want to try and fully explore a map and finish the mission within 15 minutes.

Here are some suggestions:

  • Go to Terminid-controlled planets, since they’re easier to deal with than the bots
  • Use Light Armor for faster movement speed and improved stamina regen
  • Choose daytime maps on planets without intense heat or cold weather, which can both slow down progress
  • Avoid maps that are just small islands, as they may not always have Super Credit drops
  • Land away from the Primary Objective point and enemy-infested areas

Once you land on the planet’s surface, immediately look around for nearby Points of Interest. Look for pulsating beams of light and human buildings, or follow question marks you see in the UI compass at the top of the screen. Running a daytime mission will let you see PoI from further away.

Eventually, you’ll find things like crashed ships or metal storage crates ripe for the picking. And if you’re lucky, you’ll discover a small cache of Super Credits. I was able to get ten Super Credits per cache, with two caches per run.

You should use a sweeping pattern as you explore the planet’s surface. Again, the idea is to move as quickly as possible. You can complete the Primary Objective early, but avoid extracting until you find at least one cache of Super Credits. In my experience, you can find up to two on a map. So far, every small map that wasn’t an island had at least one cache of credits.

Here’s the build I run to farm Super Credits in Helldivers 2:

  • Armor: SC-34 Infiltrator (Light)
  • Primary: SG-225 Breaker (any gun can do, but use something that kills fast)
  • Secondary: P-19 Redeemer (for close encounters)
  • Grenade: G-12 High Explosive (for doors more than enemies)
  • Booster: Stamina Enhancement if you have it, UAV Recon Booster if you don’t

Stratagems:

  • Supply: GL-21 Grenade Launcher
  • Defensive: A/G-16 Gatling Sentry
  • Defensive: A/MG-43 Machine Gun Sentry
  • Offensive: Any Eagle Stratagem will do for damage and speed

You may not have everything unlocked for my build, and that’s okay. I do suggest trying to get the Light Armor and grenade launcher first and foremost, and at least one gun sentry. The Light Armor prioritizes speed and stamina, while the grenade launcher can be used to close bug tunnels and open doors quickly. Use a gun sentry (not the mortar, for the love of Democracy) to keep bugs at bay while completing a mission or running away. It’s okay, because you’re here for money instead of kills.

I suggest farming the credits solo, but you can bring a buddy along for the ride. You can also up the difficulty to Easy if you bring a friend, but keep in mind that missions harder than Trivial are often paired with larger maps.

If everything goes well, you can net 20 Super Credits per run. Finishing missions in 15 minutes means you can see gains of 40 to 100 Super Credits an hour, depending on your luck. It’s not a lot, no, but combined with completing the Warbonds, you could earn a decent amount of credits to spend at the SuperStore.
