And failing that, at least catch this trailer
While I imagine there’s nothing quite like putting on an Oculus Rift for yourself and diving into EVR, Joseph’s descriptions from Fanfest and this trailer have me convinced the project should see a wider release. Six-on-six dogfighting from CCP? That sounds delightful as a game concept, as always, and even better as an argument for virtual-reality gaming.
It was disappointing, then, to have CCP come out and say that the build we’ve heard about from folks who attended the recent event will not be playable by the public at large. Perhaps a petition will help? Stranger things have happened. And, to be fair, this is CCP we’re talking about here.
PCGamesN has started a petition, viewable here, to convince CCP that EVR is worth further investment. “No matter what happens [we’re] going to continue,” artist Andy Robinson told the outlet. “It’s a passion for us […] Given more time, we could make this much, much better. And, maybe it never comes out again, maybe it’s at Fanfest 2014 with tons of new ships.” Considering how this is exactly the type of thing the Rift will need more of, I hope the team can stick with it.
CCP say they want a petition to gauge the interest in EVR. So we made one [PCGamesN]
