The Genshin Impact 2.5 stream debuted this morning, and it has several Inazuma-related activities incorporated with it: here’s a recap, while you wait for the full VOD to go up later today.

Update 2.5 (When the Sakura Bloom) is out on February 16, 2022

A day after several events have run their course, the new update will be out. It will center around story quests in Inazuma, as the new set of Archon quests are going to happen in 3.0.

Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko will be two of the big focuses

Yae Miko and Raiden Shogun, understandably, are going to be a huge part of this 2.5 update. The former will get a new banner (gacha), and the latter is getting a banner re-run. Yae Miko, like her counterpart, is also electro: and both are five star characters.

Kamisato Ayato is finally confirmed

After leaks and speculation, Kamisato Ayato will be joining the game as a hydro character.

There are several events that are going to be incorporated into 2.5

  • Three Realms Gateway (an adventure event)
  • Of Drink-A-Dreaming (a mixology minigame)
  • Divine Ingenuity (a set of dungeons)
  • Hyakunin Ikki (a free-for-all fighting tournament)
  • Overflowing Mastery (challenges for resources/level-up materials/weapons)

The event sizzle reel starts here in the above trailer.

New monsters called Shadow Husks will be in the update

Here’s a video showing them off:

A new area was teased for 2.6

Although details are vague at the moment, the team did show a new rock area scheduled to arrive in update 2.6. It’ll feature Onix (Pokemon) looking rock snakes!
