Shut the bullies up
Poor Duncan is getting bullied for being perceived as weak, which is where the Hogwarts Legacy Venomous Valour side quest slides in. You must find something from the Hidden Herbology Corridor, which will make the poor student look braver to his classmates.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to complete the Hogwarts Legacy Venomous Valour (or Venomous Valor for our American friends) side quest and what exactly you need as proof for Duncan.
How to complete Hogwarts Legacy Venomous Valour side quest
To initiate the Venomous Valour side quest, you’ll need to go down to the bottom floor of the Defence Against The Dark Tower. Talk to the Ravenclaw student with glasses who is fidgeting in a nervous manner. After accepting the quest from Duncan, go outside. Fast travel to the Boathouse Floo Powder location for a quick exit out of Hogwarts. Just outside the Greenhouses, there’s an entrance to the Hidden Herbology Corridor. The quest marker should give you an easy route to the location. Enter inside.
Devil’s Snare is your first obstacle. Cast Lumos to make it slither back into the walls. Just after jumping over a wall, turn right. There’s a secret stairway that will lead toward a treasure chest. The other side is covered in Devil’s Snare again. Use Incendio to make the roots retreat. Jump over to get your first reward.
Next, drop back down to the main path and cast Lumos once more. Keep moving forward until you see a blockage of wooden crates. Take them out with your spellcasting and then illuminate your way through to get the second chest.
Move to the left, past a red shield, and you’ll see a huge Venomous Tentacula standing in the distance. Use Lumos again to get the Devil’s Snare out of the way and grab a leaf from the poisonous tree. Before taking to the exit to the right, grab some of the gold from a nearby table further to the right.
You’ll now find yourself back in the Greenhouse after stepping up on the ladder. While you’re there, grab some Venomous Tentacula from the room. You’ll also find a huge chest on the right side. The Venomous Tentacula are very useful in battle. They can distract enemies and cause damage to them with their poisonous spit.
Should you give Duncan the Giant Venomous Tentacula Leaf?
Once you’re ready to go, return to Duncan, who is anxiously awaiting proof of his “bravery.” If you don’t give him the Giant Venomous Tentacula Leaf, he will be very disappointed in you, saying, “I never should have trusted you.” However, your witch or wizard does hope he learns a lesson from faking bravery. You do still get the special Venomous Tentacula Robe appearance for your trouble, on the other hand. If you simply give Duncan the leaf, he will be thankful and be on his merry way.
