Honolulu City Council bans gaming while driving

If you remember the story of the bus driver suspended for gaming at the wheel, then you remember my own embarassing gaming-on-the-go story, so I won’t recount it here. It seems (partially due to the issue with the bus driver) the Honolulu City Council has been working on trying to ban texting and gaming while driving, according to GamePolitics, and has come out successful.

City Councilman Nestor Garcia spoke about the bill, saying that most citizens will abide by it so even if one person’s life is saved by it, it will prove helpful, but the city police seem to think it will be a difficult law to enforce. Considering I see people texting in the cars next to me all the time, I wouldn’t think it’d be that hard to bust them.
