How long do you need to wait for a story mission in Spider-Man 2 (PS5)

A quick breather before the action resumes.

Spider-Man 2 switches things up a bit by featuring two protagonists that you can jump between at will. This allows for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales to have much more fleshed-out storylines that explore their lives as regular New Yorkers and superheroes.

By completing the main story missions, you’ll unravel more of Peter and Miles’ story, but you may sometimes discover that you’ve completed a mission and there are no main missions available for you to complete. When you find yourself in this position, all you have to do is wait a while before the next mission pops up.

Most of the time, you’ll have to wait for a minute or two at most before you’re contacted by Ganke, MJ, or your other friends informing you of what’s going on in the city. If no missions are popping up, you may need to switch between Spider-Men.

While you’re waiting, there’s plenty for you to do in New York. Web-swing around, and you’ll eventually discover crimes to solve. You can also find various collectibles such as Marko’s memories or Photo Ops. There are also side missions you can complete in the meantime that will help you score XP and unlock more fast travel points.

Spider-Man 2‘s story is an enticing one, but don’t feel bummed if you don’t have a main story mission available immediately. Explore the city, save civilians, and you’ll have a mission to jump into before long.
