The new Lords of the Fallen reboot features two intertwined worlds, the realm of the living (Axiom) and the realm of the dead (Umbral). With two worlds full of bosses to traverse, you may be wondering just how long it will take to finish the Soulslike title. After playing ourselves as well as parsing through information from the developers, we have a pretty good idea of just how long Lords of the Fallen is.
Lords of the Fallen game length
As a Soulslike, actual play length is going to vary quite a bit between each player based on their skill level. The developers are Hexworks have commented that internally it took its development team between 25-30 hours to beat Lords of the Fallen. For someone not familiar with the game, it will certainly take long. If you’re not too good or proficient at the Soulslike genre, it may take even longer.
Based on our gameplay so far, I anticipate it will take a little over 30 hours for me to complete. I’ve also been making sure to take down optional bosses as well, so that should include experiencing pretty much all the content there is to offer. An important thing to consider though when figuring out how long Lords of the Fallen is would be the number of bosses in the Soulslike.
How many bosses are there in Lords of the Fallen?
In total, there are 30 bosses in Lords of the Fallen. That’s quite a lot when you compare it to other titles in the genre. For example, the newly released Lies of P has 25 bosses in total. Dark Souls 3 on the other hand had 19. Elden Ring had 238 but let’s be real, that’s a different beast altogether.
When you take into consideration the number of bosses, it’s understanding that this may be a bit on the longer end. How long is the reboot in comparison to the original? Well, the original took on average 15-20 hours to beat. So even by those standards, this is a longer game by far.
