Now that the game is out and players are encountering the symbiote-and-host hybrid, many are staggered at the villain’s size. This absolute behemoth is imposing and terrifying amongst a sea of other adjectives. However, we need to know the details! How tall is this version of Venom?

In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Venom is 10’4″ tall in Freedom Units or 3.18 meters tall for literally everyone else. How did I come to such an exact figure? Toys! Manufacturer Hot Toys has announced an official Venom figure which is a 1:6 scale. The figure stands at 20.8″, or 53cm, tall. With some quick and dirty math, we have our answer.

How does Venom stack up against the Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales? The Peter Parker figure is 11.8″, or 30cm, tall. That puts him at 5’9″, or 1.8 meters. Miles’ figure is listed at the same height, despite him stating in-game that he has an inch or two on Peter. That makes Venom nearly twice their height!

Despite starting off as a “relatively” big guy with the Eddie Brock incarnation designed by legendary artist, Todd McFarlane, the villain/antihero’s size has only grown over the years. This iteration is one of the largest yet. I think it’s an interesting choice and certainly makes the character feel more alien, as is appropriate because half of Venom is a literal extraterrestrial. Either way, now you know.
