How can you find Aether Nests and Infested Strongholds?

First, you want to open your map and look for the proper icon for either an Aether Nest or an Infested Stronghold. Both are white icons that will show up inside of a building and when you hover over it, will indicate it is one or the other. You can ping the location on your map to create a marker so you know which direction to run in to reach it.

Once there you will see a house with yellow-green smoke throughout. This is the right location and where you need to be to begin to clear the Aether Nest or Infested Stronghold.

What are the objectives to clear them out?

Inside both the Aether Nests and Infested Strongholds are five bright yellow glowing Infested Cysts. They can be located on the walls, ceilings, or floor of the building. Be careful though, because until they are all destroyed, zombies will keep spawning in and around the building.

Also, the gas inside the house is toxic to you. If you have a Gas Mask equipped you will not take damage. But if you do not have one equipped, you will slowly take a little bit of damage while you are in the house until you clear all the Cysts.

Once you destroy all five Cysts, zombies will stop spawning and you will be able to open the Aether Chests inside for great rewards. Make sure you exfil if you get any good stuff, though!

If you are in an Infested Stronghold, there may also be a boss Infested Zombie that will spawn. If so, you will have to take it out as well in order to clear the Infested Stronghold and get access to the loot.

Hopefully, this guide has informed you how to clear Aether Nests and Infested Strongholds in MW3 Zombies. With this knowledge, you have a fun and easy way to clear out some of the more fun content in the mode while stocking up on some quality loot as well.
