While Season 23’s narrative may have wrapped up, Destiny 2 still offers a few treats until The Final Shape. Week 8 of Season of the Wish saw the final Starcats arrive in-game, and the Wish-Keeper’s final Catalyst became earnable. As with the previous Exotic Catalysts, Guardians must complete a quest that requires star gazing and a bit of grit.
Exotic weapons in Destiny 2 often have Catalysts available that improve upon the tool in some way. Sometimes, that’s just a flat increase to a particular stat. Other times, Cataysts can add new perks or change the behavior of existing weapon features. Each Catalyst is earned differently, with some even randomly appearing as playlist rewards. However, players can only earn many after specific actions.
Wish-Keeper is a craftable Exotic weapon, which means players actually have a choice between several Catalyst options. That said, Guardians will have to unlock each option via a quest before it’s available. Catalysts will become earnable once Guardians have gotten far enough through the Season 23 story to complete the Starcrossed Exotic mission. After that, players can embark on four separate Catalyst quests to open all Wish-Keeper options.
How to start Constellation: Wish
Like the Constellation quests from previous weeks, the Week 8 Catalyst quest is only attainable once players have reached a specific milestone in the seasonal story. This comes after Crow has tasked Guardians to enter and complete the Starcrossed Exotic mission. After this, a return to the H.E.L.M. will show new quests from Mara Sov.
If players haven’t completed the previous Constellation: Tower, Constellation: Lock, or Constellation: Pair quests, they should be able to grab all four. While the Tower and Pair quests throw Guardians right into the Starcrossed Exotic mission on Legendary difficulty, Lock and Wish ask players to start in the Dreaming City. The first task will be to scour the locale for a Celestial Anomaly.
Constellation: Wish – Celestial Anomaly
Once players arrive at the Dreaming City, they’ll be asked to investigate the Gardens of Esila. This area isn’t overtly marked on the map but is not too tricky to navigate. Starting from where Guardians drop into the patrol zone, head forward, veering off to the right. This takes players into a cave that leads from the Divalian Mists to The Strand. Once in The Strand, players should again head forward and towards the right, eventually reaching a staircase and gaining elevation.
From the staircase in The Strand, it should be a linear path leading into the Gardens of Esila. If players are having trouble finding the area, the map of the patrol zone can help a bit. From the map view, the path Guardians are looking for is at the bottom-most edge of The Strand.
After Guardians reach the Gardens of Esila, the Celestial Anomaly isn’t too tricky to locate. Upon entering the area, players will pass through a large piece of Awoken architecture shaped like a ring. From there, if Guardians look to the left, they will see a large rock formation. The Celestial Anomaly is tucked just out of sight, atop and on the other side of this rocky structure.
Constellation: Wish – Wish-Keeper
Just like the other Constellation quests, the Celestial Anomaly can be interacted with once players locate it. Of course, for the next step of the quest, players will need the Wish-Keeper bow. Looking up to the sky, Guardians will notice a bright star. This can be shot with Wish-Keeper to start the final constellation.
After loosing a few arrows into space, players may begin to realize what shape the stars are starting to take. As it turns out, the final constellation players unveil depicts none other than the Wish-Ender bow. It seems a fitting tribute considering all of the work and effort Guardians have put into powring the bow up to this point. With the constellation complete, the Constellation: Wish quest will update and ask for players to interact with the pool of light where the Celestial Anomaly was.
With all of the legwork done, the Constellation: Wish quest has one final ask. Guardians must complete one more run of the Starcrossed Exotic mission on Legendary difficulty. Naturally, this also means that players will have to go up against more brutal foes and Champions. However, once that ordeal is complete, players can access a shiny new Catalyst that offers the Hatchling perk.
