The lovable green walking eyeball with limbs has come to stay in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but now he needs your help with a myriad of frankly questionable tasks. The first of these tasks comes in the form of ‘Germs Abound’, an appropriate name for what’s to come.
During the events of Germs Abound, you’ll learn that Mike has horrible hayfever – something that doesn’t bear thinking about with that one huge eyeball – and you need to help by depollinating the flowers around the valley, before dealing with subsequent issues that arise.
How to complete Germs Abound
Before you can begin Germs Abound, Mike needs to be at level two and, ironically, the quickest way to get him there is by giving him flowers. Once he’s there, talk to him and begin the quest.
Order some Safety Goggles
Whether you already have them or not, the first thing you need to do is order some Safety Goggles from Scrooge for 30,000 coins. Once you’ve got them, put them on and return to Mike, because apparently this bug-like eyewear proves to him that the Valley is safe.
Make the Monstrous De-Pollinator Solution
Now you’ll need to make Monstrous De-pollinator Solution using the following ingredients:

| Desiccated Fishing Bait | Inside the bedside table in Goofy’s house |
| Ancient Crumbs | In Merlin’s house, inside the bag on the table on the right side of the room. |
Once you’ve gathered the items, give them to Mike and he’ll make the Solution before giving it back to you.
Water and collect ten flowers
Use the De-pollinator Solution from within your inventory and then use your Watering Can to water ten flowers, removing the pollen from them.
After this, you’ll be asked to pick ten flowers. While it’s not required for these flowers to be the same ones you watered, to make this process smoother, pick the flowers as you water them and you’ll be ready to take them back to Mike.
Find Mike’s Contact Lens
Unfortunately, Mike’s Solution didn’t work and he’s still allergic to the flowers, making him sneeze with such velocity that his Contact Lens goes flying out, ending up on Dazzle Beach regardless of where you were when you spoke to him.
On the beach, you’ll find a trail of snot (lovely) and you can use your Watering Can to clean these up – this is optional, but if you don’t clean them up I have some questions. At the end of the booger trail, you’ll find Mikes Contact Lens near the dock. Give it back to him and then things get a little strange.
Disguise yourself as Roz
I told you things get strange.
Suspecting that stress may be a contributing factor in Mike’s suffering, you suggest some roleplay therapy and to facilitate this, you’ll need to dress up as Roz. Obviously.
To do this, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 25 Softwood
- 23 Rope
- 15 Fabric
Once you’ve crafted the rather fetching mask, put it on and finish the look with any red top from your inventory, before returning to Mike for this therapy session.
