Sulley wants to bring Monster Movie Night back to Disney Dreamlight Valley and he’s come to you for help, but making it happen is far from straightforward. Here’s how to complete Sulley’s level two friendship quest.
There’s nothing like a movie night; cosy clothes and snacks while surrounded by good friends and apparently, Monsters agree. Unfortunately, before we get there, there’s a riddle to decipher and a hunt to go on, but we’ll get there.
How to complete Monster Movie Night
The easiest way to get Sulley to level two in order to start this quest is by giving him flowers. Once he’s there, talk to Sulley and you’ll begin the quest.
Talk to Scrooge about the videotapes
Unfortunately, having looked in Scrooge’s store for videotapes, Sulley couldn’t find them. Because he’s a big softie, he didn’t want to cause any fuss and didn’t ask Scrooge himself, so he sends you there in his stead.
Upon talking to Scrooge, you find that he stopped renting videotapes because the residents of the Valley are terrible at bringing them back. He suggests “20,000 Arachnids Under the Bed” (which sounds like my worst nightmare), before sending you off to make enquiries.
You’ll have the option to talk to the following villagers:
- Mickey
- Goofy
- Ursula
The only one you really need to talk to is Mickey, as he will provide you with a riddle to decipher in order to find the videotape.
A deep and dark place at the beach
Once Mickey has provided you with this clue, you’ll need to head to Dazzle Beach and down into the Mystical Cave. Head right down to the bottom and you’ll find the videotape buried in the ground there.
Use your Shovel to dig it up before returning to Sulley, who has another favor to ask.
Craft the Big Scream TV
There will be no movie night without a TV to watch the videotape on, and it’s up to you to find the following ingredients:
- 50 Fiber
- 20 Softwood
- 10 Glass
Once you’ve got these items, head to a Crafting Station and build the TV (it’s in the ‘Functional Items’ section) before giving it to Sulley. Next up: Snacks.
Talk to Mike
Mike is more than happy to provide snacks, but he does suggest that you’ll want to wear something cosy. He suggests wearing something blue and casual, as well as “Scarer Sulley” Slippers. If you don’t have the slippers, you can order them from Scrooge.
As for something casual and blue, head for your clothing inventory and use the filter function in the top corner. Scroll down and select “Casual” from the style section.
Place the Big Scream TV
Once you’ve got dressed down your best casual attire, you can talk to Sulley again, who will give you the TV. Place it down anywhere in the Valley and you’ll trigger a photo opportunity before completing the quest.
