Once you’ve unlocked Qi’s Walnut Room on Ginger Island in Stardew Valley, you’ll have access to a whole list of Special Orders from the mysterious man himself. One of them seems a little out of character at first glance, requiring you to give villagers a large number of gifts they love during a strict time limit.
Like the Special Orders board in Pelican Town, Qi’s Special Orders board switches out the available orders periodically, so there’s no guarantee that you’ll get Qi’s Kindness at any point. It will come up eventually, so keep checking back!
How to complete Qi’s Kindness in Stardew Valley
The premise of this challenge is simple, all you need to do is give 50 loved gifts within seven in-game days. At first glance, that doesn’t seem like too much of a problem, until you remember the limitations:
- You can only give each villager two gifts a week
- Each villager has their own, different loved gifts
However, thankfully there are such things as universally loved gifts in Stardew Valley, which will score you big points when given to villagers, which makes this challenge entirely possible.
How to prepare for Qi’s Kindness in Stardew Valley
If you’ve already progressed far enough into the game to unlock this challenge, then you’ve likely also upgraded your Coop to its Deluxe version. After doing this, head to Marnie’s Ranch and purchase some Rabbits.
These Rabbits, after a little while, will begin to drop Rabbit’s Feet. These are a universally loved gift, for the most part. The only exception to this is Penny, who will not be pleased if you give her the item. If you want to include Penny in the mass gift-giving exercise, you can use any of the other universally loved gifts, such as Pearls or Prismatic Shards.
Hoarding these Rabbit’s Feet will enable you to easily breeze through Qi’s Kindness, but you’ll need to start gathering them long before taking up the challenge.
