How to cure Arcana Hunger in Baldur's Gate 3

In Baldur’s Gate 3, Arcana Hunger can be a huge pain. Your character looks beleaguered and their constitution throws are at a disadvantage against foes. You’ll need a specific type of item to have them recover and return to normal.

How to fix Baldur’s Gate 3‘s Arcana Hunger

Arcana Hunger can be very frustrating, especially if you want to see your character fit and able rather than slouching forward.

To fix it, go to your Inventory and try to find a magical item of some kind. In my case, I found a Ring of Evasion, which was pink in color. This sounds like a strange dietary choice, but right-click on the magical item and select “Consume.” This will destroy the item you choose, and your hero will be back to normal, at least for a little while. The rule of thumb is to find an item that says your character can “absorb this item’s magic, destroying it.”

The narrator, however, warns that it can come back in the future. Make sure you have a few magical items handy with you on your adventure.

How to buy magical items in Baldur’s Gate 3

You’ll need magical items, so your protagonist can feel better. In order to do that, you may need to talk to a merchant. Once you speak with one, the default screen is on “Barter.” You’ll want to instead switch to “Trade” on the top of the screen.

Next, there are different sections you can select. Click the symbol that has three twinkling stars. In this part of the menu, you can now buy magical items from the vendor. Make sure, however, that it says that your character can absorb the item’s magic before buying it. I’ve made that mistake before in Baldur’s Gate 3
