In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you can acquire notoriety via certain tasks. For the most part, thievery is what builds your notoriety meter. If you get caught pickpocketing, assassinating, or trespassing, the meter will increase. In total, there are three levels of notoriety, each of which gives you more resistance to deal with. But thankfully there we know how to decrease notoriety in Assassin’s Creed (AC) Mirage, which is the purpose of this guide. Before you know it you will no longer be hunted so you can get back to carrying out assassinations!
What are the notoriety levels in Assassins Creed Mirage?
As you do illegal deeds, you will increase your notoriety levels in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. There are three levels in total:
- Level 1 — Inhabitants of Baghdad will be more aware and alert to your actions. Civilians will report you to the guards as being suspicious.
- Level 2 — Archers will be placed on the rooftops of the surrounding area to assist the guards with hunting you down. They can attack from a range, which can easily become overwhelming.
- Level 3 — Bounty hunters will begin to track you down as well. They are the most competent in battle and can also heal themselves.
As you can see, getting a high notoriety level can quickly become an annoyance in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Thankfully, there are ways to lower your notoriety level.
How do you reduce notoriety levels in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?
Though notoriety can be quite a nuisance, there are ways to reduce your notoriety levels. First, you can look for Wanted Posters that have been put up around Baghdad. When you find one of these posters, you can interact with it to tear it down. Doing so will remove one full notoriety level. Therefore, after taking down three posters, your notoriety will be back to zero. Wanted Posters will automatically spawn in your area, and they are pretty easy to find. They also show up on your compass at the top of the screen.
However, if you don’t want to take the time to hunt down Wanted Posters, there is another way to reduce notoriety levels in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. If you look for the special icon on your map, you can find various NPCs with the ability to lower your notoriety further. However, keep in mind that you will need to pay 1x Power Token in order to do so. Thankfully Power Tokens can be obtained pretty easily simply by doing assignments for the Bureau.
Once you trade the Power token to the NPC, your notoriety level is reset back to empty immediately. Now you know how to decrease notoriety in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and can safely get back to assassinating!
