Losomn is teeming with dangers in Remnant 2. One of the bosses you’ll encounter in Losomn is Gorge, a massive red hog with a bad attitude. The battle is a tough one because Gorge has a powerful kick, and the encounter takes place in a small space. Fortunately, there are a few strategies you can use to come out on top.
This guide will explain how to quickly defeat Gorge in Remnant 2.
How to find Gorge in Remnant 2
The big bad pig resides underground. To get there, you’ll have to find a hole in the ground in either Cotton Kiln or Butcher’s Quarter. It’s a massive chasm, so you won’t miss it if you’re adequately exploring the map. Once you’re down there, you’ll find some underground tunnels that are relatively easy to navigate. You do need to be careful while exploring, as there is a section where you need to balance across narrow wooden beams.
Eventually, you’ll arrive at an area where sewerage is sloshing at your feet. There’s a lever on the right side of the room, and when you pull it, a metal door will begin sliding up very, very slowly. The lever also triggers the arrival of Gorge, so be ready.
How to defeat Gorge in Remnant 2
Gorge has two main attacks. It will either charge at you, or it will twist and kick you with its hind legs. The pig has a thick hide, so make sure you’ve got powerful weapons on you, as well as lots of ammo. It also moves faster than you might initially expect, so when it charges your way, it’s best to dodge instead of trying to run away.
If you remain in the middle of the room, you can maintain a good rhythm of shooting, dodging, and then shooting again. Avoid running into a corner, as you’ll have no space to dodge when you’re attacked. If you do need to replenish your health during the battle, time it correctly so that you aren’t kicked as you’re recuperating.
With a powerful enough firearm, you can take Gorge out relatively quickly. If you take the slow and steady approach, you’ll discover that the metal door will eventually slide open completely, allowing you to run away. If you exit the room, the pig will follow, though you can get onto a higher platform by climbing up a nearby ladder. You can wave goodbye to Gorge, or you can dump your bullets in the beast without worrying about any counterattacks.
The reward for killing Gorge is the Twisting Wounds mutator. This nifty item increases a weapon’s ranged damage to bleeding targets by 10%. While you’re in Losomn, you’ll also want to take out Gwendil the Unburnt and solve the clock tower puzzle.
