Gold bars and ammo are two of the most precious resources you’ll find in Fortnite. This goes doubly so for a season of the battle royale game like Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. They are so useful for keeping you alive in fights and providing you with extra help.
How to easily collect gold bars in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2
When it comes to the Fortnite bars, this is one of the most underappreciated resources. It is so valuable for unlocking the ability to trade with NPCs around the island and gain extra help. Bars have been around since Chapter 2 Season 5 and they have no signs of leaving anytime soon.
Chapter 4 Season 2 doesn’t change much regarding the Fortnite bars. In general, they use the same methods of quickly unlocking them that were in Season 1. There are a few key ways to get gold bars quickly, and they are as follows:
- Completing bounties: Hunting down targeted players for bars
- Eliminating any opponent (player or NPC)
- Opening chests
- Safes
- Cash registers (like at the gas stations)
For me, I usually try to open up any chest, safe, and register that I find when in a match. Doing this coupled with eliminating other players usually gives me enough bars over time where I have more than I need.
To help with this, I suggest turning on the audio indicators in the settings. This can show where a chest is and other players, making it easier to gather up these gold bars. You can then turn around and use those bars to trade with NPCs for items, disguises, and even their services as an added party member.
How to easily collect ammo
Another precious resource in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is ammo. You need ammo for your weapons or else you’ll likely end up losing the fight. One way to ensure you’re always topped up with ammo for your weapons is to open up ammo boxes.
This is the best way to get ammo in the game as it generally gives two to three different ammo types, with a decent ammo in each container. But there are a few other ways to get ammo, as you can find below:
- Opening chests: Chests that contain weapons usually have a bit of ammo. You can get the ammo and leave the weapon if you don’t need it
- Eliminating other players: Players will drop whatever ammo is on them
- Vending machines: There are some vending machines on the island that let you trade bars for ammo
