As if he wasn’t bad enough in the Arkham series, the Riddler has migrated to Metropolis to harangue Task Force X in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Aside from hunting down his trademark Riddler Trophies, Quinn and the gang must contend with a series of AR Challenges to collect most of the cosmetics not locked behind the storefront.
Time to make an utter fool of the Riddler
Riddler has 13 AR Challenges spread throughout Metropolis. The goal is simple enough: clear each of the holographic green rings as quickly as you can. Clearing certain times will award you with various cosmetics for each character. Now, while Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League recommends specific characters for each challenge, Deadshot is the key to beating them with ease.
I recommend Deadshot entirely because of his jetpack and the amount of control you have when maneuvering. It’s easy to zip through the rings, stop on a dime, and change direction when needed. However, simply picking Deadshot isn’t enough to guarantee success. The following abilities are vital for the fastest times.
Slide
Sliding gives you a speed boost and reduces the cooldown for Deadshot’s jetpack. To slide, press the evade button (click the Left Stick) upon landing. It’s best used when you have a rooftop or roadway to gain some speed before launching back into the air.
Wall Climb
Several of the challenges will have you scaling a skyscraper. Sure, you could use your jetpack to fly up, but that’s a waste of fuel and a slower option compared to wall climbing. Jump up the wall and hold RB/R1 + A/X to ascend rapidly without burning fuel. Additionally, when you clear the top of a structure, Deadshot will jump into the air, giving you a little extra boost.
Afterburner
While in flight, Deadshot can trigger his afterburner for a significant speed boost. The tradeoff is that it will rapidly consume fuel. Only use it when setting up a slide or crossing the final checkpoint. To activate Afterburner, hold RB/R1 + A/X.
Kickstart
Kickstart allows Deadshot to tap into fuel reserves for extended periods of flight. However, timing it can make a huge difference. Triggering Kickstart once the jetpack has run out of fuel will only recover about 80% of the gauge whereas using the ability right before the fuel gauge has expended will restore close to 100%. Kickstart is activated by pressing LB/L1.
