Crime in Bitlife can pay, but it can also land you in a bit of hot water and, at worst, incarcerated. If you end up in prison and don’t want to sit around aging up until you’re free again, you do have the option to escape but it’s not as easy as it looks.
Whether you’ve committed fraud or murder, ending up in prison isn’t anybody’s idea of a good time. Thankfully, if you want to recreate The Shawshank Redemption and go on the run to escape your bad choices (or wrongful accusations), we can talk you through escaping.
If you’re a Bitizen, you can use a get-out-of-jail-free card. These can be purchased from the Marketplace in the main menu and usually cost 9.99 USD, though at the time of writing they’re on special offer for 4.99 USD.
How to escape prison in Bitlife
If you find yourself locked up and yearning for freedom, you can select “prison” from the bottom menu. You’ll have a lot of options here, but don’t bother trying to bribe the guards. Sandwiched between the options to cry or join a gang, neither of which I’d recommend, is the option to escape.
A new window will open, including a mini-game that you must complete in order to escape. In this mini-game, you need to move your character to the exit before being caught by the guard. It seems easy, but there’s a catch – for every move you make, the guard makes two, so it’s pretty hard to manage.
The best way to complete this mini-game is by trapping the guard behind a wall in order to escape, but this is easier said than done. What’s more, you can only try to escape once a year, and every time you get caught, you’ll have more time added to your sentence.
If you want to take the easy way out, there’s an option at the bottom of the mini-game to steal a uniform from a guard in return for watching a short advert. Don the uniform and waltz past the guard in the mini-game in order to get another taste of freedom.
