I don’t know about you, but I love the idea of scavenger hunts! Especially when you don’t know what it is you’re looking for. In the beginning of Baldur’s Gate 3’s third act, you come across the Circus of the Last Days, and its headlining clown, Dribbles!
It’d seem every Baldurian is familiar with Dribbles — he’s a local treasure! So, when you have to mercilessly eviscerate the clown in front of a live audience, only for it to be revealed that it was a clone and not the real Dribbles, you can take it upon yourself to find out what happened and — let’s just say Dribbles gets around. You can find his scattered remains all over Baldur’s Gate.
Here’s where you can find the various body parts belonging to the clown formerly known as Dribbles. I think, after this mission, we’ll all need a tall, stiff drink.
How to find all Dribbles the Clown body parts in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Gimme a Hand
Starting from the Circus of the Last Days, you can loot Dribbles’ Hand from Popper’s stall — it won’t be available for purchase, so you’ll have to hide and pickpocket it faster than Popper can say ‘treato.’ I should warn you all, however, these parts weigh a lot, so maybe consider sending them to your camp unless you have a lot of space in your inventory to work with.
Nab the Torso
To nab the next part, head north. Just a bit north of the South Span Checkpoint and west of the South Span of Wyrm’s Crossing waypoint is a cave entrance. Inside, you’ll be able to kill two birds with one stone — the shape-shifting enemies in this cave have items related to both this quest and the Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders quest. In any case, you’ll find Dribbles’ Torso, which weighs a whopping 15 pounds, by looting one of these enemies.
Pelvis has entered the building
OK — five more pieces to collect. I know, it’s starting to stink in your inventory. Just bear with it for now. Fast travel to the Basilisk Gate waypoint and take an immediate right turn (north) and head down the following alley. When you see a set of blue, locked doors that you can pick, take a look inside and you’ll find the corpse of Gohumberry Tresp. Loot it and you’ll find Dribbles’ Pelvis, which weighs another 15 pounds.
Armed to the teeth
Next up, head south. Your target is a boarded-up house to the east of Sorcerous Sundries. I had a little bit of trouble with this one, but when I say it’s to the east of Sorcerous Sundries, I mean it’s literally across the street from it. Break open the boards and you’ll find a corpse inside, Franc Peartree, who will have Dribbles’ Arm, which weighs 8 pounds.
Leggo my leg
It’s a bit of a walk to find Dribbles’ Leg. Travel to the Lower City Central Wall waypoint, take an immediate right and head past the stairs and under the gate/bridge. Ascend the stairs on your right, then continue climbing steps until you run into Lavernica’s Home. Inside is a grisly sight, but if you ignore it and use the hatch, you’ll find more bodies! The only one of any importance here is lit up by sunlight, otherwise known as Incontinentia Figgin. Loot their corpse and you’ll find Dribbles’ Leg.
Let’s play some football
OK, we’re in the home stretch now. For the next body part, leave Lavernica’s Home the way you came, head down all three flights of stairs and head west until you come across Rainforest’s Home. It’s a bit of a risk because the doors will be locked and there are plenty of witnesses in the area, so if you’re not comfortable taking said risk, you can use a spell like Misty Walk or Dimension Door to reach the balcony on the second floor. In any case, you’ll still want to head for the first floor and use the hatch to reach a creepy cultish altar with corpses. Find and loot the corpse of Winslow Reginol to secure Dribbles’ Foot.
Getting ahead on the story
The last of Dribbles’ body parts can be found as part of the story. First, ensure that you’ve completed the Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders quest, in addition to the Investigate the Murders and Impress the Murder Tribunal sub-quests. You will need the Amulet of Bhall item that you earn by either killing Valeria or Sarevok.
Go to the Baldur’s Gate waypoint and walk south toward the statue of Balduran. Take a left, and head southeast until you see a small set of stairs. Take the path around the leftmost building and you’ll see a manhole covering leading to the Lower City Sewers. Follow the path north, then west, then north again until you reach a room filled with columns with large staircases on either side. Follow the staircases up and you’ll enter the Undercity Ruins, alongside a waypoint.
This is the path to the Temple of Bhaal. To continue, target one of the bodies hanging above the bloody ritual circle with a ranged attack. As soon as the door to your right opens, go through it and continue on the path until you reach a corpse, Justen. If you go much further, you will have to face a very tough encounter with (probably) upwards of twenty enemies, and one of them has the ability to one-hit K.O. your entire party. But, don’t fret! I know a way you can avoid this fight entirely, so long as you have a character with the Invisibility skill.
Switch to this character and cast Invisibility on them. You’ll only be invisible for 10 turns, so be careful not to dilly-dally. Proceed down the path until you reach the large, overturned column. Cross it to the other side and take a left through the opening straight-ahead. Take an immediate right, and you’ll be on the true path to the Temple of Bhaal. Thankfully, you won’t have to go much further to reach the last piece of the body — Dribbles’ Head.
Follow the staircase down several flights until you come across the familiar sight of carnage. A brutal display of body horror that is — of course — trapped hides the final piece to our puzzle. Disarm the trap (or just take the hit) and loot the corpse of Wilting Alex to secure the head. I’d advise you to travel a bit further down so the waypoint for this area activates before you leave.
Return to Rivington, and to the Circus of the Last Days. Find Lucretious and tell her that you’ve found all of Dribbles’ pieces and she’ll reward you with a pair of Spellmight Gloves, a very rare set of gloves that allows for an additional roll of damage at a cost. And, what’s more, Lucretious says she’s going to reanimate Dribbles so he can continue to entertain for the circus.
I mean — I suppose that’s one way to skin a clown.
