How to farm for Acid Shells in Warframe
To get Acid Shells in Warframe, you have to farm the Merrow node on Sedna. This is the Assassination mission where you fight and defeat Kela De Thaym. But, in order to play this mission, you’ll need judgment points.
This mod has an 11% chance of dropping upon defeating her. While chances aren’t the greatest, you should statistically get this by ten kills.
How to get Judgment Points in Warframe
To get Judgment Points in Warframe, you have to play the Arena game mode available on Sedna. They mimic the PvP mode in this game, except you fight against Kela’s champions.
You’ll start off on Nakki, which is a free entry mission starting at level 40. You can then progress to the other two missions which will be at a way higher level and require points to enter. With the prerequisite of needing points to enter, you’ll also get more upon a mission complete.
Once you have 25 Judgment Points, you can face Kela De Thaym. However, when you beat her, you only get 13 in return, meaning you have to go back to the Arena and grind some more.
Is the Acid Shells mod worth it?
If you are a shotgun player or want to get the Kuva Sobek, then Acid Shells are worth the grind. With the recent shotgun rework and just the overall stopping power of this weapon class, you can easily mow enemies down as if you’re using a launcher.
When fully upgraded, the Acid Shells mod does heavy Corrosive damage to enemies within 15 meters of the one that the Sobek killed. That means that using mods like Galvanized Savvy will synergize extremely well with it.
However, if the Kela De Thaym and Arena grind is too much, you can always buy this mod from another player for about 15 to 20 Platinum. The mod will still be worth it.
