As per usual, Destiny 2‘s latest major DLC – The Final Shape – comes with a rather impressive list of new Legendary gear to collect, and the Dealer’s Choice weapons, in particular, are a delightful highlight. How do you get unlock the full set, though? Further, how do you farm new rolls?
Whereas farming the Lightfall weapon set was a bit of a pain by default, this thankfully isn’t the case with The Final Shape‘s new Pale Heart gear. Certainly, it will take time to farm all the right Perk rolls and complete all the side-missions that open up after you’ve wrapped up the main campaign, but the good news is that getting the Dealer’s Choice weapons is going to be way more straightforward that we’ve gotten used to.
Destiny 2 – Dealer’s Choice weapon set
The Dealer’s Choice weapons – also known as the Pale Heart weapons – consist of seven striking armaments that come pre-loaded with stellar Perk choices and a lovingly crafted aesthetic. They’re all pretty neat, is what I’m getting at. Obviously, we don’t yet know how they may or may not fit into the meta, but it’ll take a few weeks before that’s all settled down.
Here’s the full list of all the Pale Heart weapons in Destiny 2: The Final Shape:
- The Call – Rocket-Assisted Sidearm
- False Idols – Vortex Sword
- Pro Memoria – Aggressive Machinegun
- Embraced Identity – Adaptive Sniper Rifle
- Axial Lacuna – Precision Fusion Rifle
- Someday – Precision Shotgun
- Bold Endings – Heavy Burst Hand Cannon
- No Hesitation – Support Auto Rifle
Of particular interest is No Hesitation, I feel. This Auto Rifle fires non-hitscan projectiles that deal a fair bit of damage for its class, but the weapon’s Support frame gimmick means you can also hip-fire it at your allies to heal them on the go. Not sure yet how viable the weapon is in endgame-tier content, but it definitely is fun and interesting!
How to get Dealer’s Choice Pale Heart weapons?
In case you’ve already progressed a few missions into The Final Shape, then you’ve probably already received some of the weapons from the Dealer’s Choice set. Notably, it would appear that The Call and No Hesitation roll right out of some campaign drop chests, so those are fairly easy to get.
The rest of the Pale Heart armory isn’t that easily accessible, but you’ll have access to them via Micah-10’s outpost. These small campsites denote Vanguard activity and unlock a whole slew of quests for you to pursue, many of which straight-up unlock Dealer’s Choice weapons for you to grind.
After you’ve unlocked a Pale Heart weapon through its questline, it will begin to drop at random from the following activities:
- Pale Heart Pathfinder quests
- Secret chests found in the Pale Heart location
- Various additional post-campaign quests and Patrols found in the Pale Heart
As we said – way more streamlined than weapon grinding was back in the Ligthfall era, so that’s neat.
